A high-ticket sales funnel sells expensive offers (in Ghana, roughly GH₵ 3,000 and up) by building trust first, then filtering for serious buyers with an application, then closing on a call. Nobody pays GH₵ 10,000 from an Instagram ad and a Buy button. They pay after they've seen your work, heard from people like them, and spoken to you. The funnel's job is to make that process predictable instead of random.
What counts as high-ticket?
It depends on your market. For many Ghanaian buyers, anything above about GH₵ 3,000 is a considered purchase: they'll research, ask a spouse or partner, and want to talk to you first. Examples:
- 3–6 month coaching programs
- Done-for-you services: websites, branding, ads management, bookkeeping
- Masterminds and premium cohorts
- Corporate training
- Consulting projects
The funnel
1. Authority content
Show your thinking and your results: case studies, before-and-afters, breakdowns of how you solved a problem, client interviews. Long-form works well here: YouTube, podcasts, detailed posts and live sessions.
2. A way to raise their hand
- A free guide, assessment or quiz ("Is your business ready to scale?").
- A free workshop or webinar.
3. The application page
A sales page that explains the offer, the process, who it's for (and not for), results and the investment range, ending in an application form:
- Name, phone, email
- Business or situation today
- The goal for the next 6–12 months
- What's in the way
- Budget range (GH₵ 3,000–5,000 / 5,000–10,000 / 10,000+)
- When they want to start
On Paylead, the Strategy Call funnel template gives you the page and the application form. Applications land in your customer list with their answers.
4. The qualifying call
Book only applicants who fit. Use a calendar so they pick a time and confirm without back-and-forth. Some sellers charge a small fee or deposit for the call to filter further.
On the call: understand their situation, explain how you'd help, and make one clear offer. Don't pitch everyone. Saying "this isn't right for you yet" builds trust.
5. Payment that fits big amounts
- Instalments: split GH₵ 9,000 into three payments. See part payments and instalments.
- Invoices for companies, with a link to pay by MoMo or card. Paylead's own fee on invoices is capped at GH₵ 100 per invoice. See how to send an invoice.
- Monthly billing for retainers, with automatic reminders: subscriptions with MoMo.
6. Follow-up
Most high-ticket sales close after the call, not on it:
- Same day: a summary of what you discussed and the proposal or payment link.
- 2–3 days later: answer the objection they raised (time, money, "need to ask my partner").
- A week later: a case study from someone similar, and a clear deadline.
Numbers to plan around
| Step | Example |
|---|---|
| Applications a month | 20 |
| Qualified and booked | 10 |
| Closed | 2–3 |
| At GH₵ 6,000 each | GH₵ 12,000–GH₵ 18,000 |
Your numbers will differ. What matters is tracking each step so you know where to improve.
Mistakes to avoid
- Hiding the price completely. A range filters time-wasters.
- Taking every call. Protect your time with the application.
- No proof. High-ticket buyers need case studies more than anyone.
- One payment option. Offer instalments.
Frequently asked questions
Can I sell high-ticket without calls?
Sometimes, with a strong webinar and lots of proof, but a call usually closes far more for big amounts. Many buyers in Ghana want to hear your voice before paying.
What should I charge?
Price on the value of the result, not your hours. If your service helps a business make GH₵ 50,000 more, GH₵ 8,000 is reasonable.
