    Make a subscription product

    Set the price and how often it renews: weekly, monthly, every 3 months or yearly.

  2. 2

    Add a Subscribe button

    Link to the subscribe page with your user’s id as ref, or open it over your app with embed.js.

    Check access

    GET /access?ref=USER_ID answers has_access: true or false. Or let webhooks tell you.

Webhooks

Know the moment someone pays, renews or leaves.

Paylead POSTs signed events to your server: order.paid, invoice.paid and every step of a subscription. Failed sends are retried for about 10 hours, and you can resend any event.

Questions sellers ask

Do I need my own payment gateway or merchant account?

No. Your Paylead store takes the payment and you withdraw to mobile money or your bank. You only need a Paylead account.

How do I know a user has paid?

Pass your user's id as ref when they subscribe. Then call GET /api/v1/access?ref=USER_ID, or listen for subscription webhooks.

Which plan do I need?

Embeds work on every plan. Subscriptions, the API and webhooks are on Pro and Business.

Is there a test mode?

Not yet. Test with a small real payment to yourself, for example a GH₵ 1 plan you delete afterwards.
