The basics

What Is a Quote Card?

A quote card is a simple image with a few words on it: a quote, a tip, a review or a short message, usually with a name to credit. They are quick to read, easy to share and look good in a feed or on a Status. For creators and small businesses they are one of the easiest ways to post every day without filming a video or taking a product photo.

Design tips

How to Make a Quote Image People Actually Read

A quote card has about a second to catch someone’s eye. These five habits make yours easy to read on a phone.

Keep it short

One or two sentences read at a glance. If the quote needs a paragraph to make sense, split it into a series of cards.

Use strong contrast

Dark text on a light background, or light text on a dark one. Pale grey on white looks elegant on a laptop and disappears on a phone in the sun.

Make the text big

Most people see your card on a small screen while scrolling. The generator sizes the quote to fill the card; only shrink it if you add a long credit.

Keep your colours consistent

Pick one theme and use it every time. After a few posts, people recognise your cards before they read your name.

Always credit the source

Add the author’s name, or your own if the words are yours. A handle or link at the bottom tells people where to find more.

The first words matter most. Our hook generator writes opening lines that work just as well on a card as in a video.

6 Ways to Use Quote Cards to Sell Your Products

Quote cards are not only for inspiration. If you sell an ebook, a course, templates or coaching, they show people what they get before they pay.

Share a line from your ebook

Post the most useful sentence from each chapter. It shows the quality of the book and gives people a reason to want the rest.

Turn buyer reviews into proof

Put a short review on a card with the buyer’s first name. Ask their permission first, and never edit what they said.

Post a tip from your course

One lesson, one card. People who find the tip useful are the ones most likely to pay for the full course.

Announce a launch or deadline

A bold card on WhatsApp Status that says “Doors close Friday” is hard to miss. Put the payment link in the caption.

Answer a common question

Write the question people DM you most, then the short answer. It saves you replies and shows you know your topic.

Share your story

A line about why you started or what you learned the hard way builds trust. Pair it with a link to the product that came from it.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I make a quote card?

Type your quote and the name to credit, pick a size, a colour theme and a font, then tap Download. You get a PNG image ready to post. Everything happens in your browser.

What size should a quote image be?

Use 1080 × 1080 for a square Instagram or Facebook post, 1080 × 1350 for a portrait Instagram post, and 1080 × 1920 for WhatsApp Status, Instagram Stories, TikTok and Reels.

Is the quote card generator free?

Yes, with no account and no limits. Your quote is never uploaded: the image is made on your own device.

Can I use quote cards to promote my products?

Yes. Share a line from your ebook, a buyer’s review or a tip from your course, and add your store link to the caption. Quotes from your own work show people what they get when they buy.

Can I use someone else’s quote?

Short quotes with the author credited are common, but do not suggest the person endorses you. For a buyer’s review, ask their permission before you post it.

Can I remove the Paylead mark?

Yes. The small paylead.app credit is on by default and you can switch it off before you download.
