Stan Store can work for a seller in Ghana, but only through PayPal. Stan's list of countries for its Stripe account type does not include Ghana, and Stan says Ghanaians can use PayPal instead. Buyers in Ghana then pay by card or PayPal, not MoMo. If your buyers pay by mobile money, Paylead is a closer fit.
Stan's pricing and payment details were checked in its help centre on 4 November 2026. Its main pricing page did not load for us, so check stan.store for the latest.
What Stan Store costs
Stan's help centre says it takes 0% from transactions and charges a flat subscription instead: Creator at $29 a month, or Creator Pro at $99 a month. Payment processor fees are separate and set by Stripe or PayPal.
For PayPal, the help centre gives 3.49% plus a fixed fee based on the currency received. Rates vary by location, customer currency and payment method. Those are the processor's charges, not Stan's.
Can you open a store in Ghana?
Stan's help centre lists the countries available for its Stripe accounts. Ghana is not on the list. It says that if you are in Ghana you can use PayPal instead, since PayPal is available in more than 200 countries.
To connect PayPal, Stan's guide says you need:
- A PayPal Business account, not a personal one.
- A valid bank account linked to that PayPal account.
- A verified PayPal account.
Two limits from the same guide: PayPal is not available for Stan's Funnels feature, which is on Creator Pro, and each PayPal account can connect to only one Stan store. We did not confirm how easy it is to open, verify and withdraw from a PayPal Business account in Ghana, so check PayPal's own pages for your situation.
What Ghanaian buyers experience
Stan's checkout is built around cards and PayPal. We found no mention of MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash or AirtelTigo Money in Stan's help pages. A buyer in Ghana without an international card or PayPal balance may be unable to pay. That matters, because many Ghanaian buyers pay by MoMo. See how to accept mobile money payments online in Ghana.
What Stan Store does well
- A clean link-in-bio store that is quick to set up.
- No platform fee on sales, so the monthly price is the main cost.
- Courses, digital products, bookings and email tools in one place.
- A strong fit for creators selling to buyers in the US and similar countries.
Stan Store vs Paylead: a cost example
Say you make 20 sales of GH₵ 200 in a month, which is GH₵ 4,000.
- Paylead: 4% + GH₵ 1 per sale = GH₵ 160 + GH₵ 20 = GH₵ 180. The Starter plan is free and processing is included.
- Stan Store: $29 a month for Creator, plus PayPal's fee of 3.49% plus a fixed fee on each sale. The subscription is the same whether you sell 2 items or 200.
Stan's flat subscription gets cheaper per sale at high volumes. At the start, paying nothing until you sell is easier. Paylead withdrawals are GH₵ 5 each, from GH₵ 50, the next working day.
| Stan Store | Paylead | |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly price | $29 or $99 | Free; Pro GH₵ 149; Business GH₵ 399 |

Who each one suits

- Paylead: sellers in Ghana whose buyers pay by MoMo and who want to start free. Paylead is for Ghana only today. Cards work at checkout, but check with your bank for foreign cards.

How to test before you pay
Stan offers a 14-day free trial according to third-party price guides, but we could not confirm that on Stan's own pages, so check when you sign up. Whatever the trial length, test the full path before you pay for a plan. Connect PayPal, make one small purchase from a second account, and check that the money reaches your PayPal balance and then your bank.
Also ask a few real buyers in Ghana to try the checkout. If they cannot pay, the monthly subscription is money spent on a store they cannot buy from.
