Most people who see your ad or your post aren't ready to buy today. If you only ever ask for the sale, you lose all of them. A lead form gets their name and number so you can follow up when they are ready. It might be a free guide, a quote request, an application or a quiz like "Which skincare routine suits you?".
Real estate agents, schools, clinics, coaches, insurance agents and event planners in Ghana all live on leads. This guide compares seven tools for collecting them, and what happens to each lead afterwards.
Details for other tools were checked on their own websites on 12 October 2026. Check each site before deciding, because plans change.
What to look for
- Forms that people finish. Short, one question at a time, and easy on a phone.
- Phone numbers, not just emails. In Ghana, the follow-up often happens on a call or on WhatsApp.
- Leads land somewhere useful: a contacts list with status and notes, not a spreadsheet you forget to open.
- Automatic follow-up: an email straight away, and a sequence after that.
- Know which ad worked: UTM tags and pixels, so you spend more on the ads that bring leads.
- Works on your website and on its own link, for ads, bios and WhatsApp status.
- A path to payment, so a lead can become a customer in the same place.

1. Paylead
Best for: Ghanaian businesses that want leads, follow-up and payment in one place.
Paylead's forms are built to turn a stranger from an ad into a paying customer.
- Forms people finish: one question at a time, or split into steps. Text, choices, phone, email and file upload.
- Build fast: describe the form you need and the AI drafts it.
- Scorecards: quizzes that score answers and show a result, like "Is your business ready to sell online?". On the Business plan, full quiz funnels sort people into types of buyer and show each one the right offer.
- Anywhere: its own link, inside a funnel page, or embedded on your website inline, as a popup or as a slide-in.
- Know your source: keep UTM tags from your ads, pass hidden fields, and connect your Meta, Google or TikTok pixel so leads count as conversions.
- Leads from ads platforms too: send Meta Lead Ads, Google Ads lead forms, Zapier or Make into Paylead with a webhook.
- After the form: every lead lands in your contacts with a status (new, contacted, won), notes and CSV export. Duplicates can be allowed, flagged or blocked. A lead can start an email automation straight away.
- Then sell: the same account sells your products, bookings, courses and webinars, with MoMo checkout.
Cost: free to start with up to 150 contacts. Pro (GH₵ 149 a month) has unlimited contacts. Quiz funnels are on Business (GH₵ 399).

2. Google Forms
Best for: internal surveys and simple sign-ups.
- Cost: free.
- Strengths: everyone knows it, and it's quick to set up.
- Watch out for: it looks like a school survey, which costs you leads from ads. Responses go to a spreadsheet, with no follow-up, no pixel tracking and no payment.
3. Typeform
Best for: beautiful one-question-at-a-time forms, priced in dollars.
- Cost: a free plan with a small number of responses; paid plans start at around $29–39 a month depending on billing, with limits on responses per month.
- Strengths: a polished, conversational design.
- Watch out for: response limits on every plan, dollar pricing, and payments through Stripe, which isn't available to businesses in Ghana. You'll need other tools for contacts and follow-up.
Check Typeform's pricing.
4. Tally
Best for: a free form builder with no tight limits.
- Cost: the free plan includes unlimited forms and submissions, within fair use. Pro is $24 a month.
- Strengths: generous free plan, clean design, easy to build.
- Watch out for: it's a form builder only. Leads need to go somewhere else for follow-up, and you'll want to check its payment options for Ghana.
Check Tally's pricing.
5. Jotform
Best for: long, complex forms and applications.
- Cost: a free plan with limits, and paid plans in dollars.
- Strengths: huge template library and many question types.
- Watch out for: the free plan's limits and branding. Check payment integrations for Ghana.
6. Systeme.io
Best for: an all-in-one funnel and email tool, if you can take card payments.
- Cost: a generous free plan, and paid plans in dollars.
- Strengths: funnels, email, courses and automations in one place.
- Watch out for: you connect your own payment provider, such as Stripe or PayPal, to get paid. Neither takes MoMo. Read Paylead vs Systeme.io.
7. Meta lead ads (Facebook and Instagram)
Best for: collecting leads without sending people off Facebook or Instagram.
Lead ads show a pre-filled form inside the app, so people sign up in two taps.
- Cost: free to use; you pay for the ads.
- Strengths: very easy for people to fill in, so you get lots of leads at a lower cost.
- Watch out for: easy sign-ups mean lower-quality leads, and the leads sit in Meta until you download them or connect them somewhere. Follow up within minutes, or they'll forget they signed up. You can send them straight into Paylead with a webhook.
How to choose
- You want leads, follow-up and payment by MoMo in one place: Paylead.
- You need a quick internal survey: Google Forms.
- You want a free form builder and already have a CRM: Tally.
- You run Facebook or Instagram ads: use lead ads and connect them to a tool that follows up.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best way to get leads for my business in Ghana?
Offer something useful in exchange for contact details, like a free guide, a quote, a free class or a quiz result. Then follow up fast. Paylead lets you build the form, collect the lead, send a follow-up email and sell to them, all in one place.
What is a lead magnet?
Something free people get in return for their details: a checklist, a short guide, a discount or a quiz result. Read what is a sales funnel.
Do quizzes get more leads than forms?
Often, because people want to see their result. A good quiz also tells you what each person needs, so your follow-up fits. Read what is a quiz funnel and quiz funnel examples.
Can I put a lead form on my own website?
Yes. On Paylead, copy the embed code from your form's Share options and paste it into any website, inline or as a popup.
How do I connect Facebook lead ads to Paylead?
Use your form's lead webhook. Meta Lead Ads, Google Ads lead forms, Zapier and Make can all send leads to it.
