The fastest way to understand quiz funnels is to see a few. Below are three complete examples, each a different kind of quiz, and all three are templates you can copy on PayLead. After them are a few more ideas you can build in an afternoon.

1. Coaching: "Is one-on-one coaching right for your business?"
Kind: qualifier · Length: about 2 minutes · Sells: one-on-one calls, with a lower-priced course for everyone else
The four types of buyer:
| Type | Who they are |
|---|---|
| The Idea Holder | Has a business idea that hasn't started yet |
| The Side Hustler | Runs the business around a job or school |
| The Solo Grinder | Business works, but they do everything themselves |
| The Ready Scaler | Has customers and help, wants to grow |
How it sorts people: the opening question is "Where is your business right now?" (still an idea · running on the side · full time, just me · full time, with a team). Then hours per week, two ratings ("How stretched do you feel?") and four statements, one per type, like "If I stop working, the business stops."
The idea it teaches: a mini-game, "Which week moves a business forward more? A: ten small tasks, a bit of each. B: one big task, finished." The answer is B.
How it qualifies: three questions everyone answers: can they invest this month, when do they want change, and who decides on spending. Score 60 or more and the result says "You're a great fit for one-on-one help" and offers a booking. Below that, the result recommends the smaller course.
Why it works: coaches waste hours on calls with people who were never going to buy. This quiz sends ready people straight to your calendar and still makes a sale from everyone else. See also how to sell coaching online.
2. Skincare: "Find your skincare routine in 60 seconds"
Kind: product match · Length: about 1 minute · Sells: physical products, with pay on delivery
The four types: The Shine Fighter (shiny by midday), The Thirsty Skin (tight after washing), The Balance Seeker (shiny in some places, dry in others) and The Gentle Care (new products sting or itch).
How it sorts people: picture cards for "How does your skin feel by midday?", then what they use now, how much sun they get, and four quick statements like "My skin feels tight after washing."
The idea it teaches: "Why more products isn't the fix: three right products used every day beat ten used now and then."
How it matches: two questions, what matters most and how much they want to spend, point to products. The result shows "These are for you" with the best match marked, and each product has its own buy button.
Stay on the right side of the line: a skincare quiz describes skin and routines. It never diagnoses a condition or promises a cure. If someone has a medical problem, they need a doctor, not a quiz.
3. Courses and coaching: "The Knowledge Seller check"
Kind: diagnostic · Length: about 3 minutes · Sells: a monthly plan, with a done-with-you setup option
This is PayLead's own quiz, the one at paylead.app/quiz. It's for people who sell, or want to sell, what they know.
The five types: The First-Timer, The Stuck Seller, The Coach, The Live Teacher and The Audience Builder.
The flow: five sections, about 29 screens on each person's path:
- Where you are: how long they've sold, three ratings, and a "your first 30 days" timeline.
- How you sell: where buyers find them, then four statements.
- Spot the better page: three rounds of A vs B, like a plain checkout against one with an order bump.
- Your plan: four scoring questions for their type, then their time and priorities.
- Your result: lead screen, "Analysing your answers", their score out of 100 with 3 gaps, a plan with a goal date, and the offer.
What makes it work: every gap comes with a specific fix, and the plan screen uses their own answers: "Your plan: first upsell live by 24 Oct."

What all good quiz funnels have in common
- 4 to 6 types of buyer, each linked to a real product.
- Short questions in the buyer's own words.
- The lead screen near the end, never at the start.
- A result that feels personal, then an offer for that type.
- Honest proof only: real reviews, real numbers, real deadlines.
- Follow-up on WhatsApp for the people who don't buy straight away.
