Coaches, consultants, therapists, tutors, lawyers, nutritionists, fitness trainers and business advisers all sell the same thing: personal advice that gets someone a result faster.
The problem is usually not the coaching. It's everything around it: back-and-forth to find a time, clients who book and never show up, chasing payments, and forgetting who paid for what. This guide shows how to sell coaching online in Ghana so clients book, pay and show up.
What you can sell as coaching
- One-off consultations: a 45-minute business review, a CV review, a nutrition consultation.
- Packages: four weekly sessions, a 3-month program, a 30-day fitness plan with check-ins.
- Group coaching: one session for 10 people at a lower price each.
- Done-with-you programs: coaching plus templates, a course and WhatsApp support.
- Tutoring: exam preparation, languages, music lessons.
Step 1: Define the result
Clients pay for outcomes, not hours. Compare:
- ❌ "One-hour business coaching session"
- ✅ "Leave with a 90-day sales plan for your shop"
Write one sentence: "I help [who] get [result] in [time]." Use it on your booking page, your bio and every post.
Step 2: Price your sessions
Common starting points in Ghana:
| Offer | Typical price range |
|---|---|
| 30-minute call | GH₵ 100 – 300 |
| 60-minute consultation | GH₵ 200 – 800 |
| 4-session package | GH₵ 600 – 3,000 |
| 3-month program | GH₵ 1,500 – 10,000+ |
| Group session (per person) | GH₵ 50 – 200 |
Charge more when you have proof of results, a specialist skill or a busy calendar. Packages earn more and get better results than single sessions, because clients commit.

Step 3: Let clients book and pay in one step
The fastest way to stop no-shows is to take payment (or a deposit) when people book. On Paylead:
- Click Create product → Bookings.
- Name the session and set the price.
- Set the session length and your available hours each day.
- Choose how clients pay: the full fee, a deposit, or in person.
- Fine-tune with buffers between calls, minimum notice, how far ahead people can book, days off and the location (video call, phone or a place).
Clients pick a free time, pay by MoMo or card, and get a confirmation with a calendar file. You see every appointment in one list. Full steps in the bookings guide.
Step 4: Sell packages and programs
- For packages of sessions, sell a service with up to three packages (for example Basic, Standard, Premium) and the questions you need answered before you start. See selling a service with packages.
- For programs, combine coaching with a course and templates in a bundle.
- For group coaching, a webinar product works well: one live session, many paying attendees.
Step 5: Get clients
- Teach in public. Short, useful posts on TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn or your status. Each one should end with "Book a call: link in bio".
- Run a free or low-cost workshop. At the end, offer a paid session. Paylead webinars can show your booking offer right in the room.
- Share client results (with permission): screenshots, testimonials, before-and-after.
- Ask for referrals. "Who else do you know who'd benefit from this?"
- Offer a discovery call only for high-priced programs, and keep it short.
Step 6: Deliver a great experience
- Send a short questionnaire before the first call.
- Start on time and end with clear next steps.
- Follow up with a summary in writing.
- Offer the next session or package before the current one ends.
Mistakes coaches make
- Free sessions for everyone. Free calls fill your week with people who don't buy.
- No deposit. Unpaid bookings lead to no-shows.
- Vague offers. "Life coaching" is hard to buy; "confidence coaching for new managers" is easy.
- Hiding the price. Most people won't message to ask.
