You already have a website: a blog, a portfolio, a church site, a WordPress shop that never got payments working. People visit it, read about your product, and then you tell them to "WhatsApp me to buy". Many of them don't.
A Buy button lets them pay right there, by mobile money or card, without leaving your page.
What you can add
- A Buy button. Any button on your site opens a checkout over the page.
- A product card. A picture, name, price and Buy button, in the middle of your blog post.
- A pricing table. Your monthly plans side by side, for memberships and apps.
- A donation box. Amounts to tap for offerings, dues or support.
They're called embeds, and on Paylead they're free on every plan.
Step 1: Put your product on Paylead
If you haven't yet, create your free store and add the product: an ebook, a course, a physical item, a service, a booking, or a subscription. For donations, create a payment link where the buyer enters the amount.
Step 2: Copy the code
Open the product or payment link in your dashboard and click Embed. Choose a Buy button, product card or pay box, pick your colour and corners, and copy the HTML. It looks like this:
<script src="https://paylead.app/embed.js" async></script>
<button data-paylead-buy="k3x9pa">Buy the ebook · GH₵ 50</button>
Step 3: Paste it on your site
WordPress: edit the page, add a Custom HTML block, paste, and update. It works with the block editor, Elementor's HTML widget and most themes.
Wix: click Add → Embed code → Embed HTML, paste the code, and place the box where you want it.
Webflow: drag in an Embed element and paste.
Squarespace: add a Code block.
Shopify: add a Custom Liquid section to the page.
Your own HTML site: paste it anywhere in the page.
Publish, and test it once on your phone.
What your buyers see
When someone clicks, the checkout opens over your page with your product's options, upsells and coupons. Paying by card finishes right there. Paying by mobile money opens the secure MoMo page, and then they see their receipt. They get a receipt by email and SMS, and digital products are delivered straight away.
Where your sales show up
Every sale shows in your Paylead Orders, marked with the website it came from. The money goes to your Paylead wallet, and you withdraw to MoMo or your bank.
Keep your checkout on your site only
By default, anyone who copies your code could show your product on their site. If you'd rather they didn't, list your own websites in Settings → Developers → Embeds, and browsers will refuse to show your embeds anywhere else.
What it costs
Embeds are free. Each sale costs 4% + GH₵ 1, payment processing included, the same as any Paylead sale. On a GH₵ 50 ebook you keep GH₵ 47. On Pro and Business you can remove the small "Payments by Paylead" line. See pricing.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You copy one snippet and paste it, like embedding a YouTube video.
Will it work on my WordPress theme?
Yes. It works in a Custom HTML block on any theme. You don't need a plugin.
Can I sell more than one product on a page?
Yes. Add one button or card per product. The script line only needs to be on the page once.
Can I use it for donations?
Yes. Use a payment link where the giver enters the amount, and add a pay box with amounts to tap.
