A paid webinar is one of the fastest ways to earn from what you know. Teach for 90 minutes on Saturday, charge GH₵ 100 a seat, and you've made money before you've built a course.
The hard part isn't the teaching. It's everything around it: taking payment by MoMo, sending each person the link, reminding them so they actually show up, and selling your next offer at the end. This guide compares six ways to run a paid webinar from Ghana.
Details for other platforms were checked on their own websites on 12 October 2026. Check each site before deciding, because plans and fees change.
What a paid webinar platform needs
- Tickets paid by mobile money, not only by card.
- Automatic access: each attendee gets the join link after paying, without you sending 80 WhatsApp messages.
- Reminders. Many people who register for a webinar never show up. A reminder the day before and an hour before brings more of them in.
- A calendar invite, so the session sits in their phone's calendar.
- Replays for people who couldn't make it live, ideally available for a limited time.
- Selling in the room. The best time to offer your course or coaching is at the end of a great session, while people are still watching.
- Evergreen option: a recording that plays on a schedule, so the same webinar keeps selling without you teaching it live every week.

1. Paylead
Best for: creators, coaches and trainers who want to sell tickets by MoMo and sell their next offer in the same room.
On Paylead a webinar is a product, just like an ebook or a course. You set a price (or make it free), choose live or evergreen, and share the link.
- Live webinars on Zoom, Google Meet or YouTube Live. A YouTube stream plays right inside the Paylead room.
- Evergreen webinars: upload your recording and choose the days and times it plays. Attendees pick a session that suits them.
- For attendees: a private room link, a calendar invite for Google or any calendar, and email reminders a day and an hour before. The join link only appears shortly before the start, so it's harder to pass around.
- Replays: switch them on and choose how many hours they stay available. A replay that expires gives people a reason to watch.
- An offer in the room: pick a product (your course, a coaching call, a bundle) or a link, and choose when it appears: at the start, at a set minute, or in the last ten minutes. Attendees buy without leaving the room.
- Get more sign-ups: a sales page written by AI, coupons, affiliates, and a webinar sign-up box for your own website.
Fees: free to start. 4% + GH₵ 1 per ticket, processing included, or the attendee pays it. Withdrawals cost GH₵ 5 and arrive the next working day.
Watch out for: Paylead doesn't replace Zoom or Meet for the video itself on live webinars. You still run the call there, and Paylead handles tickets, access, reminders, replays and the offer.

2. Zoom
Best for: the video call itself.
Zoom is the most familiar video tool for webinars, and the Zoom Webinars and Zoom Events products add registration pages and ticket types.
- Strengths: reliable video, breakout rooms, polls and Q&A, and most attendees already have it.
- Watch out for: Zoom's plans are priced in dollars, and charging for registration isn't built into its basic plans. You'll usually pair Zoom with a payment tool that takes MoMo, then send the link yourself, or let a platform like Paylead do that part.
Check Zoom's pricing.
3. Eventbrite
Best for: in-person and online events aimed at an international crowd.
Eventbrite is a ticketing platform with a large audience.
- Strengths: a well-known checkout, and event discovery.
- Watch out for: when we checked, Ghana wasn't listed among the countries where Eventbrite processes payments itself, so organisers elsewhere may need to use PayPal. Buyers pay by card or PayPal rather than MoMo, and there's nothing to sell your next offer during the session. Check your payment options in Eventbrite before you plan around it.
4. Selar
Best for: creators who already sell on Selar.
Selar lets creators sell many kinds of products, with mobile money and international payments.
- Fees: 5% + GH₵ 1 per cedi sale, and GH₵ 15 per withdrawal.
- Watch out for: check how Selar handles webinar access, reminders and replays before you choose it for live events.
Check Selar's pricing page, or compare Paylead vs Selar.
5. A payment link plus Zoom or Google Meet
Best for: a one-off session with a small group.
Create a payment link (Paystack, Hubtel or Paylead), share it, and send the meeting link to everyone who paid.
- Costs: the payment tool's fee only.
- Watch out for: you match payments to people and send links and reminders by hand. That's manageable for 15 people and painful for 150.
6. WhatsApp and MoMo
Best for: your very first test.
Post the webinar on your status, collect MoMo, add payers to a group and drop the link an hour before.
- Watch out for: screenshot checking, the link getting forwarded to people who didn't pay, no replays and no list of attendees to sell to next time.
Example: one webinar, 80 seats at GH₵ 100
- Paylead: 80 × GH₵ 5 = GH₵ 400 in fees (or GH₵ 0 if attendees pay the fee), plus GH₵ 5 to withdraw. Links, reminders and replays are handled. If 10% of attendees then buy a GH₵ 600 course offered in the room, that's another GH₵ 4,800.
- Payment link + Zoom: the payment tool's fee, plus a Zoom plan if your session runs over the free time limit, plus an evening of sending links and reminders.
How to choose
- You want tickets, reminders, replays and an offer in one place: Paylead, with Zoom, Meet or YouTube Live for the video.
- You sell to international audiences by card: Eventbrite or Zoom Events.
- It's a single small session: a payment link and a Meet call is fine. Move to a platform when you run it every month.
