A sales page that sells answers the questions a buyer has, in the order they have them: What is this? Is it for me? Will it work? What do I get? What does it cost? What if it doesn't work? How do I pay? Twelve sections cover all of it, from the headline at the top to the final call to action. Write it in plain language, for one kind of buyer, and put the price and a buy button where people can find them.
The 12 sections
1. Headline: the result
Say what they get, for whom, in one line.
- "Pass WASSCE Core Maths with 40 worked past questions"
- "Start your home bakery in 30 days, even with GH₵ 1,000"
More ideas: 25 headline formulas.
2. Subheadline: how, and how fast
"A step-by-step video course you can follow on your phone, one lesson a day."
3. Buy button and price, early
Some people are ready now. Don't make them scroll to the bottom. On phones, a sticky buy bar helps; Paylead product pages keep the price and buy button in view as people scroll.
4. The problem
Describe their situation better than they could. "You've watched YouTube tutorials for months, but your cakes still sink in the middle and you're scared to charge proper prices."
5. What changes
Paint the after: what their day, income or results look like once the problem is solved.
6. The solution: your product
What it is and why it works (your method, your experience, what makes it different).
7. What's inside
List every module, chapter, file or item, each with the benefit:
- Module 3: Pricing. Know exactly what to charge for a 3-tier wedding cake so you never work for free again.
8. Proof
Reviews, screenshots of results, before-and-afters, number of students, a short video. Real names and photos (with permission) beat anonymous quotes. See how to get customer reviews.
9. Who it's for (and who it's not for)
"For beginners and home bakers. Not for professional pastry chefs looking for advanced techniques." Saying who it's not for makes the right people trust you more.
10. About you
Why should they listen to you? Your story, your results, a photo.
11. The offer and price
Stack what they get with values, then the price:
| Item | Value |
|---|---|
| 20-lesson video course | GH₵ 500 |
| Costing spreadsheet | GH₵ 80 |
| Private WhatsApp group | GH₵ 150 |
| Today | GH₵ 350 |
Add a reason to buy now (a launch price, a bonus that ends) and, if you can, a guarantee. See how to make an irresistible offer.
12. FAQs and final call to action
Answer the questions people DM you: How long do I have access? Can I watch on my phone? Can I pay in parts? What if I'm a complete beginner? Then the buy button, one more time.
Writing tips
- Write to one person. "You", not "customers".
- Short paragraphs. Most of your readers are on phones.
- Benefits over features. "Spend 2 hours a week" beats "12 modules".
- Use their words. Copy phrases from DMs and reviews (see how to find your messaging).
- Show the price clearly. "DM for price" loses buyers.
Let AI write the first draft
On Paylead, describe your product and the AI builds a sales page with these sections and your checkout built in. Then edit it in your own words. See how to write a sales page with AI.
Test and improve
Change one thing at a time, starting with the headline. Paylead can A/B test your headline and keep the winner.
Frequently asked questions
Long or short sales page?
Match the price. A GH₵ 30 ebook needs a short page. A GH₵ 1,500 course needs to answer far more questions, so it's longer.
Do I need a video?
It helps, especially a short one of you explaining who it's for. It isn't required.
