To get paid to post clips in Ghana, you join a brand's clipping campaign, post short videos about the brand on your own account, and earn a rate per 1,000 views your clips get. On Paylead the brand funds a budget first, you apply and get approved, you post and submit your link, and views are counted for the first 7 days. After a short hold, your earnings land in your Paylead wallet and you withdraw to mobile money or a bank account.
What is clipping?
Brands want many short videos about them from many accounts. Clippers cut and post clips (from a brand's footage, a podcast or a product demo) and get paid for the views. The brand pays only for views, up to its budget. For the brand side, see how to pay creators to post clips about your brand.
How does Paylead clip pay work?
- Create a free account and switch to the promote side. Clipping campaigns are listed there.
- Connect your social account and prove it is yours with a code in your bio. An account can belong to only one person.
- Apply to a campaign. The brand approves each clipper. Read the brief and the requirements first.
- Post a clip on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or Facebook, then submit the link in Paylead. Each post can be submitted once, and only posts made after you were approved count.
- The brand reviews your clip against its requirements. If the brand does not review a clip within the review window, it is approved automatically (72 hours at current settings).
- Views are counted for the first 7 days of the clip, at current settings.
- You are paid the campaign's rate per 1,000 views, within any minimum payout and the most a single clip can earn. Each campaign sets those.
- Withdraw. Earnings wait about 3 days after the clip's views are counted, then land in your wallet. Withdrawals go to mobile money or a bank account, from GH₵ 50, for a flat GH₵ 5.
The exact numbers (tracking days, hold, review time) are set by Paylead and can change. The live terms are on the clipping page.
How are views counted?
- YouTube: views are read automatically.
- TikTok, Instagram and Facebook: at current settings, you upload a screenshot of the clip's views when its days are up, and the Paylead team confirms the number.
So on TikTok, Instagram and Facebook, expect a manual check before you are paid. Keep your screenshot clear, showing the post and the view count.
How much can I earn?
It depends on each campaign's rate per 1,000 views. A made-up example: at GH₵ 5 per 1,000 views, a clip with 40,000 views earns GH₵ 200, before the GH₵ 5 withdrawal charge. Real campaigns set their own rates, and the budget can run out. If it does, you are paid what is left, and the campaign stops taking clips. Budget is first come, first served, so post early.
What gets a clip rejected?
- Breaking the brand's written requirements: wrong message, missing tag, other brands in the clip.
- Posting before you were approved.
- Reusing a post that was already submitted.
- Fake or bought views. Clips with unusual views are held for checking, and clippers caught with fake views are banned.
If a clip is rejected, you can appeal once, and Paylead decides.
Tips for clips that earn
- Hook in the first 3 seconds. Start with the most interesting line.
- Keep it short and clear. One message per clip.
- Follow the brief to the letter.
- Post consistently, not once. Several clips across the campaign add up.
- Use Ghanaian accents, language and examples when the brief allows. It connects with local viewers.
What do I need to start?
A phone, an account on at least one of the four platforms and the patience to post regularly. Paylead's checks look at account age and follower counts, so a brand new account may be held for review. Build the account first.
What if I want to make money from my own products too?
Clippers can also sell. Create a free store with MoMo and card checkout and put your link in your bio. Read how to make money online in Ghana for other options.
