6 best booking and payment tools for coaches and consultants in Ghana (2026)

If you sell your time as a coach, consultant, therapist, lawyer, tutor or stylist, you know the routine. A client messages "are you free Thursday?", you go back and forth about times, send your MoMo number, wait for the screenshot, then they ask to move it to Friday.

A booking tool fixes this. Clients see when you're free, pick a time, pay, and get a confirmation, without a single message from you. This guide compares six options for Ghana, where most clients want to pay by mobile money.

Details for other platforms were checked on their own websites on 12 October 2026. Check each site before deciding, because plans change.

What to look for

  1. Payment at booking, by MoMo. Clients who pay when they book are far less likely to miss the session.
  2. Your real availability: working hours per day, days off, and how far ahead people can book.
  3. Buffers and minimum notice, so calls don't run back to back and nobody books you for ten minutes from now.
  4. Deposits, for long or expensive sessions, with the rest paid in person.
  5. Reminders that cut no-shows.
  6. Easy rescheduling, so a change of plan doesn't mean five more messages.
  7. Packages, for coaching programmes and services bought as a bundle.

1. Paylead

Best for: coaches and consultants in Ghana who want booking and MoMo payment in one step.

On Paylead a booking is a product. You set the session length and price, choose your available hours, and share the link.

  • Your calendar, your rules: available hours for each day, buffers before and after sessions, minimum notice, how far ahead people can book, and days off.
  • How clients pay: the full fee, a deposit, or payment in person. They pay with MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash, AirtelTigo Money or a card.
  • Where you meet: a video call, a phone call or a place, with your own instructions.
  • After booking: clients get a confirmation with a calendar file, and email reminders a day and an hour before. They can cancel, or move to another free slot in your calendar, from their booking page.
  • Packages and services: sell coaching programmes or done-for-you services in up to three packages (for example Basic, Standard and Premium), with the questions you need answered before you start.
  • On your website: add a booking calendar to any site, including WordPress, so clients book without leaving your page.
  • Grow: a sales page written by AI, coupons, and webinars or courses that lead into paid calls.

Fees: free to start. 4% + GH₵ 1 per online payment, processing included, or the client pays it. Withdrawals cost GH₵ 5 and arrive the next working day.

Watch out for: Paylead takes the booking and the payment; you still run the call on Zoom, Google Meet or the phone.

2. Calendly

Best for: scheduling with clients abroad who pay by card.

Calendly is the best-known scheduling tool in the world.

  • Cost: a free plan for scheduling. Taking payments needs the Standard plan, from $10 per seat a month, and connects to Stripe or PayPal.
  • Strengths: polished, and clients abroad already know it.
  • Watch out for: no MoMo. Stripe isn't available to businesses in Ghana, so most Ghanaian coaches would rely on PayPal, which many local clients don't use.

Check Calendly's pricing.

3. Google Calendar booking pages

Best for: free consultations.

Google Calendar can publish a booking page where people pick a free slot.

  • Strengths: it's already in your calendar, with Google Meet links created automatically.
  • Watch out for: check which Google plan you need and how payment works. MoMo isn't an option, so for paid sessions you'd still collect payment separately.

4. Selar

Best for: creators already selling on Selar.

Selar lets creators sell many kinds of products, with mobile money and international payments.

  • Fees: 5% + GH₵ 1 per cedi sale, and GH₵ 15 per withdrawal.
  • Watch out for: check how Selar handles available hours, buffers, deposits and rescheduling before you use it for appointments.

5. A payment link plus a calendar

Best for: a few sessions a month.

Send a booking link (Calendly free or Google Calendar) and a separate MoMo payment link.

  • Watch out for: two steps means people book without paying, or pay without booking, and you match them up by hand. Rescheduling and refunds happen in your DMs.

6. WhatsApp and MoMo

Best for: a handful of regular clients.

  • Costs: only MoMo charges.
  • Watch out for: the back-and-forth about times, confirming screenshots, and no-shows from clients who never paid upfront.

Example: 40 one-hour sessions at GH₵ 300

  • Paylead (free plan): 40 × GH₵ 13 = GH₵ 520, plus GH₵ 5 per withdrawal. Or GH₵ 0 in sale fees if clients pay them. Every session is paid before it happens.
  • Calendly Standard + PayPal: at least $10 a month, plus PayPal's fees, and only for clients who have PayPal.
  • Free calendar + MoMo by hand: no platform fee, but every payment is checked and matched by you, and no-shows cost you the full hour.

How to choose

  • Your clients are in Ghana and pay by MoMo: Paylead.
  • Your clients are abroad and pay by card: Calendly with PayPal.
  • You only offer free discovery calls: Google Calendar booking pages are enough, and you can add paid sessions later.
