To sell study notes and revision guides in Ghana, turn your own notes into clean PDFs, upload them as a digital product and share one link with students. On Paylead, students pay by MoMo or card and get the download straight away. It is free to start and costs 4% + GH₵ 1 per sale.
What sells
Students pay for things that save them time before an exam:
- Summaries of a whole subject or topic in a few pages.
- Worked answers with each step explained.
- Your own practice questions with marking guides.
- Course notes for a university course, organised by lecture.
Sell only material you wrote yourself. Copying textbooks, exam bodies' papers or another teacher's notes can get you into trouble, and students trust original notes more anyway.
Step by step
- Export each set of notes as a PDF with your name and a contents page.
- Create your free Paylead account.
- Click Create product → Digital Product: sell a digital download.
- Name it by subject and level, for example "SHS Biology: Genetics summary + 40 practice questions".
- Add two or three sample pages as images so students see the quality.
- Set the price: fixed, or pay what you want with a minimum.
- Under Digital Delivery, upload the PDF. Optionally set a download limit or a password to slow down sharing.
- Share the link in class groups, on your status and with teachers.
What it costs
No monthly fee on the Starter plan. A GH₵ 30 guide costs 4% + GH₵ 1 = GH₵ 2.20, so GH₵ 27.80 reaches your wallet. Withdrawals cost a flat GH₵ 5 each, from GH₵ 50, and arrive the next working day.
Sell more to each student
- Subject bundles: all your Biology guides in one bundle.
- Add-ons at checkout: a practice-question pack as an order bump.
- Live revision: offer a paid class after the download: see how to run paid online classes for students.
- Student reps: let students earn a commission for every guide they sell to classmates: run an affiliate program.
Frequently asked questions
How do students get the notes?
The download link is on their receipt and in their email right after they pay, and later in My purchases.
Can I stop students sharing my notes?
Not completely, but a download limit per buyer, expiring links and a password make it harder. Keep prices fair: most students buy when it is cheaper than the hassle of finding a copy.
Do I need a website?
No. Every product has its own page, and your store link shows all of them.
Can I give a free sample?
Yes. Make a free product with one chapter that collects the student's email, then tell them about the full guide.
