To collect dues for a club or association in Ghana, share one payment link (or a monthly subscription) that members pay by MoMo or card. On Paylead, every payment is recorded with the member's name and phone number, so the treasurer no longer chases screenshots. It is free to start, and each payment costs 4% + GH₵ 1.
Pick the right setup
- Same amount, paid once (yearly dues, a levy, an end-of-year party): a reusable payment link with a fixed amount.
- Any amount (welfare contributions, donations, a funeral contribution): a payment link with an open amount.
- Same amount every month: a subscription on Pro, which reminds members by SMS and email before each payment.
Step by step: a dues link
- Create a free Paylead account in the association's name.
- Go to Payment links → New payment link.
- Title it clearly: "Class of 2012: 2026 annual dues".
- Choose Fixed and enter the amount, or Open for contributions.
- Make it reusable, and set an expiry date if dues close at a date.
- Turn on Collect email if you will send receipts and updates by email.
- Share it in the group chat and pin it.
Keeping the records
Every payment shows in your orders with the member's name and phone number, so the treasurer's list is always up to date. Post a thank-you in the group when the dues are in.
What it costs
A GH₵ 120 payment costs 4% + GH₵ 1 = GH₵ 5.80, so GH₵ 114.20 reaches the wallet. Turn on Customer pays transaction charges and members add the fee on top instead. Withdrawing to the association's MoMo or bank account costs a flat GH₵ 5.
Tips for treasurers
- Use the association's own payout account so funds never mix with anyone's personal money.
- Give two officers access with their own logins (Business plan): invite your team.
- Remind members with an SMS campaign close to the deadline.

Can members pay from abroad?
They can pay by Visa or Mastercard as well as mobile money.
Can I see who hasn't paid?
You see everyone who has paid. Compare that with your member list to see who hasn't.
Can we stop payments after the deadline?
Yes. Set an expiry date on the link, or switch it off.
Is it safe for the group's money?
Payments go into the Paylead wallet, and withdrawals go only to the payout account you set.
