On Paylead, money from a sale you make today becomes withdrawable by 03:00 the next morning, and a withdrawal to your mobile money wallet or Ghanaian bank account arrives the next working day. Each online sale costs 4% + GH₵ 1, and each withdrawal costs a flat GH₵ 5, from GH₵ 50.
The timeline, step by step
- The buyer pays. By MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash, AirtelTigo Money or card. The order is marked Paid once the payment is confirmed.
- Money on its way. The sale shows in Finance under Money on its way, with the date it will land.
- Ready to withdraw. By 03:00 the next morning the money moves into your available balance.
- You withdraw. In Finance → Withdraw, enter the amount (GH₵ 50 or more) and confirm.
- It arrives. The money reaches your MoMo wallet or bank account the next working day.
Cash-on-delivery orders count once you mark them delivered and paid.
A worked example
On Monday you sell three products at GH₵ 100 each, paid by MoMo. Each fee is 4% + GH₵ 1 = GH₵ 5, so GH₵ 285 shows as money on its way. On Tuesday morning it is withdrawable. Withdraw all of it and GH₵ 280 arrives after the GH₵ 5 withdrawal fee.
If you turn on Customer pays transaction charges, buyers cover the 4% + GH₵ 1, and the full GH₵ 300 reaches your wallet.
Set up your payout account first
Add the MoMo wallet or bank account you want to be paid into in Finance. It should be in your name or your business's name. Doing this before your first sale means nothing waits on you. See payouts and withdrawals.
Tips to get paid smoothly
- Withdraw in fewer, bigger amounts. The fee is flat, so one GH₵ 500 withdrawal costs less than five GH₵ 100 ones.
- Double-check the payout number. Most delays come from a wrong number.
- Weekends and holidays: "next working day" means a withdrawal on Friday evening arrives on Monday.

No. You collect that cash yourself, so the fee is 2% + GH₵ 1, taken from your wallet when you mark the order paid.
