The best Facebook ad creatives for digital products show what's inside and what it does for the buyer, in the first three seconds. You don't need a studio: a phone, natural light and Canva are enough. Here are 15 ideas to try, grouped by format.
Reels and short videos
- The page flip. Scroll through your e-book or template on a phone. Stop on the most useful page. Hook: "This one page saved me hours."
- The before and after (of a task, not a body). Show a messy spreadsheet, then the same thing done with your template. Avoid before-and-after claims about health, weight or money; Meta restricts them.
- Talking head, one tip. Give one genuinely useful tip from your course in 20 seconds, then "the full method is in the course".
- Screen recording. Record yourself doing the thing your product teaches, sped up, with captions.
- The objection answer. "Do you need a laptop for this course? No. Watch." Then show it working on a phone.
- Unboxing a digital product. Tap "Buy", show the receipt, open the download. It shows how simple and instant it is.
Images
- The mock-up. Your cover on a phone or tablet screen, with one benefit as overlay text.
- The checklist. "What's inside" as five ticked lines on a clean background.
- The quote. One sentence from a real buyer's message (with permission) next to your cover.
- The price card. Product, price and "Instant download", nothing else. Good for retargeting people who already know you.
Carousels
- Chapter tour. One card per chapter or module, each with a one-line benefit.
- Mistakes series. "5 mistakes people make when ___", the last card pointing to the fix: your product.
- Template gallery. For template packs, show a different template on each card.
- Step by step. The first 3 steps of your method for free, the 4th card: "The rest is in the guide."
- Who it's for. Cards for each kind of person the product helps, described by situation ("If you sell from home and post on status every day…"), not by personal traits.
Rules that keep ads approved
- Don't assert personal attributes ("Are you in debt?"). Describe the situation instead.
- No promised income, health results or "guaranteed" outcomes.
- Keep text on images short; Meta favours images that aren't covered in words.

How many to test
Start with three creatives that are genuinely different (for example a reel, a mock-up and a carousel), not three versions of the same image. After 5 to 7 days keep the one with the lowest cost per purchase. See how to test ad creatives.
