To add a shop with mobile money to a WordPress site in Ghana, install the free Paylead plugin, enter your store address, and paste shortcodes for Buy buttons, a product grid, a booking calendar or a donation box. Buyers pay by MoMo or card without leaving your site, and you don't need WooCommerce or your own payment gateway.
What you can add
- Buy buttons and product cards for any product.
- A product grid of your whole store or one category.
- A booking calendar for appointments and coaching.
- A donation box with amounts to tap, for churches and NGOs.
- A floating Support me button for tips.
Step by step
- Create your free Paylead account and add a product.
- In Paylead, go to Settings → Developers → Embeds and click Download plugin.
- In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin, choose the file, click Install Now and Activate.
- Go to Settings → Paylead in WordPress and enter your store address (you can paste the whole store link).
- In Paylead, open a product, click Embed, choose how to show it and copy the shortcode from the WordPress tab.
- In WordPress, add a Shortcode block to your page and paste it.

Shortcodes you'll use most
- A Buy button:
[paylead_buy code="k3x9pa"]Buy now[/paylead_buy] - Your products in a grid:
[paylead_store] - A booking calendar:
[paylead_booking code="k3x9pa"] - A donation box:
[paylead_pay_box link="church-giving" amounts="20,50,100"] - A tip button:
[paylead_tip floating="yes"]
Replace the code with your own product's code. Settings → Paylead in WordPress lists every shortcode.
Why not WooCommerce?
WooCommerce works, but you need a Ghanaian payment gateway plugin, updates, and somewhere to manage orders and deliveries. With Paylead, checkout, receipts, orders, deliveries and payouts are handled for you, and the plugin only loads on pages that use a shortcode, so your site stays fast.
What it costs
The plugin is free, and so is the Starter plan. Each online sale costs 4% + GH₵ 1. Withdrawals cost a flat GH₵ 5.
