The pricing page does not list a separate processing fee. Whether card processing is included in the 10% + $0.50 is worth confirming with Gumroad before you plan your prices.
What does that cost on a real sale?
A flat 50 cents matters most on cheap products. Using simple dollar prices:

If your ebook sells at around $5, Gumroad takes a fifth. Selling the same ebook in cedis through a local platform costs much less. At 4% + GH₵ 1 on Paylead, a GH₵ 100 sale costs GH₵ 5, which is 5%.
Can sellers in Ghana get paid by Gumroad?
Gumroad's help centre says some countries receive direct bank payouts and others use PayPal. The most recent help page we found lists Ghana among the bank payout countries, paid in cedis. It also says the minimum balance is $100 for most countries, with some countries having a higher local minimum. We could not confirm the exact minimum or payout day for Ghana from the pages we could read, so check Gumroad's payout settings page before you build a plan around it.
Two practical points:
- Payout rules change. Older Gumroad help pages show different minimums. Always trust the live payout settings page in your account.
- A bank account is needed for direct payouts. Mobile money payouts were not listed in what we found.
Can Ghanaian buyers pay Gumroad sellers with MoMo?
Gumroad's pricing page does not mention mobile money. Most Ghanaian buyers pay with MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash or AirtelTigo Money, so check what payment methods Gumroad currently offers at checkout for Ghanaian buyers.
